I wonder if he’d take the DVD player out and adjust the price accordingly.

Maybe. I won’t buy it as much as I want to though.

It actually looks really well done. Plus, these engines quite like boost. It’s probably some fueling or tuning issue.

1FZ-FE. It was a 4.5 I6 with the dimensions of a 12V Cummins and nearly as heavy.

I’d never heard of the 1FZ. But Titan motorsports will sell you one with 1800 crank HP so it’s got to be durable. But with research.... Iron block straight six. Going to be a durable configuration either way.

You are really going to appreciate the three rows of leather seats and $1000 DVD system while sitting in your driveway... because the ENGINE DOES NOT RUN...
and the pictures prove the leather is ripped to shit, while the ad claims the bottom end needs to rebuilt as it "threw a rod" which is technical for "engine is borked." Although not explicitly listed in the ad, I'm guessing methanol injection is involved because someone's been drinking the Everclear if they think this CP is a worthy investment at $2800. It's possible you do need this, but only as a man-cave entertainment system and not as a mode of transportation... :)

Maybe if he keeps the Turbo kit “$2000" (that most likely caused the windowed block)and kept the Stereo system “$1000" you could get it for free?!

I’m guessing it’s just a bad tune that caused that. These things actually tend to like boost.

Yeah, if you don’t tune a turbo and all that goes with it correctly, they tend to do that. Even some factory engines do that... Mazda.

Swap out the bottom end, get it tuned right, and you have a very capable rig for not a lot of money. Turbo charged 1FZ’s are not uncommon. They can take it when done correctly.
